So very comparable with the exception of total passing yards, but that's no real surprise given how much the Titans run Henry and the lack of a real rushing threat from KC.  And it's not cherry picking...it's the entire time Tannehill has been the QB.

The only time it's brought up is in response to someone who says Tannehill is just sort of meh.  No one thinks he's better or really in the same league as Mahomes (not sure anyone is), but the fact that Tannehill has put up similar numbers to Mahomes during his tenure as starting QB in Tennessee tells you he's better than "just OK".

Mariota is an expensive back up QB for the Raiders.

When I see " Player x has better numbers than player z"  5 times in a thread, I tend to go confirm, especially if it sounds a little wacky. 

So basically we've got some Tannehill advocates leaving out a string of games in 2019 in order to manipulate it to look like Tannehill threw  a whopping 1.3% more completions and 4 more TDs. 

Which - you know - doesn't mean [BLEEP] and is a clear manipulation. 

Tack trolls would be better off to just say - "go compare his numbers to Mahomes, they're eerily similar in some categories." 
Because they are.  And that is impressive. 

Alas - he doesn't actually have better numbers than Mahomes, though. So let's dispatch with that horse [BLEEP], please.

The stats I provided were for all 24 games he has started for the Titans.  Not sure which "string of games" you're referring to.  And yes some of his numbers are better than Mahomes...more TDs, better completion percentage, and better QBR.  And no, I don't think he's a better QB than Mahomes, but you have to admit it's pretty impressive to put up numbers similar to Mahomes given that KC throws the ball 62% of the time compared to TN throwing it just under 50% of the time.
