This NFL testing process is basically designed to have teams forfeit. When reading/watching the news these days it's hard to tell what is true and what is a lie intended to drive public decision making. But I've seen a number of professionals such as Scott Gottlieb talk about how understated the infection and spread rate is among the vaccinated. There is the looming question of why in Europe the infection rates seem to be the highest among the most vaccinated countries. And then there are all the anecdotal stories of superspreading events among the vaccinated. I know of a few people myself.

So if the rate of spread among vaccinated is higher and more prevalent than we were led to believe when they were initially selling those hesitant into getting the vaccines, wouldn't it be likely to see vaccinated players spreading the disease to unvaccinated on the team? And if the virus can spread that readily between both sets of people, why such stringent testing? What if a team has a bunch of vaccinated players test positive? Would they force them to forfeit then as well? You'd have no idea if it was "irresponsible" unvaccinated that caused the outbreak in the team or not. Why punish a team for "doing the right thing" who falls prey to what seems to be an inevitable consequence of the virus.

And what about players, such as Trevor Lawrence, who have already had it? I have no idea if he took the vaccine but makes sense why he would feel he doesn't need to. Wonder if they are forcing those players to be tested daily as well.
