Dimson is not saying it should be regulated by government. He's suggesting companies can afford to pay more. Think of it this way, companies are already offering to pay more since there is such a work shortage. Truth is, they could have been paying that much before Covid, but didn't. He's not wrong.... especially not as it pertains to the giant corporations. I am not so sure this holds true for mom and pop shops.
