Way too Early rookie assessments

#12

I've been to 2 training camp sessions so far and naturally listened to comments from local media and this forum. Based on all of this, these are my early impressions:

Trevor Lawrence- Expect him to be a great player and make several pro-bowls, HOWEVER this season will be tough. His rookie season will be more like Peyton Manning and Aikman than Herbert.

Travis Etienne- Expect greatness from this player. His stats will not be as good as Najee Harris due to sharing time with Robinson, but defenses will need to account for him whenever he is on the field.

Tyson Campbell- Haven't seen enough of him, but he was a great pick due to all the questio-marks about Henderson. No doubt that Campbell has all the desirable traits for a corner and if he gets better holding on to interceptions the sky will be the limit for him.

Walker Little- If not for his injury 2 years ago and lack of play for 2 years, he could have been a top 10 pick. Not only should he be Lawrence's left tackle for many years, but he will enable the team to let Robinson go after this season saving them a ton of cap money. If he stays healthy for most of his career, he'll eventually be viewed as one of the best value picks in franchise history.

Remainder of class: Way too early to predict the future of the other rookies, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if Cisco, Camp and Tufele become valuable contributors to the team with Camp needing the most time due to being so raw.

Biggest negative- The Jags should have drafted a receiving tight end. Farrell is more of a blocker and the team lacks a tight end who can consistently get down the field. They should have drafted Brevin Jordan instead of Farrell.
