It hasn't been easy, especially when people would ask when I was going to have kids. When I said "never" I got plenty of hate and discontent thrown right in my face. Not wanting kids makes me selfish according to a lot of people. 

It's different for guys I guess. I've told people from a very young age that I never wanted kids and they seemed to accept it. I never wanted the responsibility of raising someone who might turn out to be an adult I didn't like. Then there is the cost, the fact that there is already an overpopulation problem in the world and the idea that I haven't found a woman I'd want to be attached to for 18 years. Yeah, some people don't like my reasoning, but who cares? I have a niece and nephew that live right next door and that is plenty for me. I can take them out and do fun stuff with them and when they start to annoy me, I send them home to their mother after feeding them a bunch of sugar. When they're all "amped up," I don't have to deal with them, but I still get to be the "fun uncle." I get all of the perks and none of the responsibility. It's great.
