It'll be illegal in my house. I loathe fairytale stories and always have. To say a woman/girl needs a man/boy to be happy is BS.

There definitely needed to be more movies like Moana. I would like a make version too. A man doesn't need a woman to be happy either.

True but boys aren't the target audience of these movies. Specifically the old ones.

Women, especially my age/generation and older, and most especially in the South, were raised to believe life wasn't complete without the husband and 2.5 kids, the family pet, the family house, etc., and we had better not screw it up. I always chafed against that stereotype and never acted "proper" just to do what society told me I should do. I was not going to be 'put in my place'.

But I digress.

I grew up in the south so I am aware of that expectation. Glad you were able to over come out and live your own life.

It hasn't been easy, especially when people would ask when I was going to have kids. When I said "never" I got plenty of hate and discontent thrown right in my face. Not wanting kids makes me selfish according to a lot of people.  Wallbash

It's different for guys I guess. I've told people from a very young age that I never wanted kids and they seemed to accept it. I never wanted the responsibility of raising someone who might turn out to be an adult I didn't like. Then there is the cost, the fact that there is already an overpopulation problem in the world and the idea that I haven't found a woman I'd want to be attached to for 18 years. Yeah, some people don't like my reasoning, but who cares? I have a niece and nephew that live right next door and that is plenty for me. I can take them out and do fun stuff with them and when they start to annoy me, I send them home to their mother after feeding them a bunch of sugar. When they're all "amped up," I don't have to deal with them, but I still get to be the "fun uncle." I get all of the perks and none of the responsibility. It's great.

I always wanted kids but I can definitely understand the appeal of not wanting any, lol.

Sounds like something Texas would do.

China is also pushing woke values in our corporations. They know what will destroy the west.

That's hilarious. But you know, women have needed men since the beginning of time and they still do. Only, its the government that has stepped in as the "man" to help these women. I wonder what women would say and do with the breakdown of society and people needed to hunt to survive again...

Sounds like something 49’other states should do as well.  It’s sad when the US should take a page from China or another country.  But apparently they have balls.  We have open orfices  to take everything and anyone
