Not to sound like a broken record, but those Cowboys you referenced; when they started their long rebuild in week 1 '89, came out just as unprepared and got smacked in the mouth. Committed multiple turnovers and penalties. Didn't even score. Bad teams with new coaches just tend to start unprepared.

And I said somewhere else that I think most of these things can be corrected, but it's still disappointing to see the team do those basic things fairly well in the exhibitions and then act like they got hit with the Stupid Stick in pre-game yesterday.
