A quarter in to the season, how would you list our top 5 needs?

Big Grin

Can't say I disagree with any of the needs listed, but I'd be interested which you think are biggest needs

The problem is that we have so many glaring needs that I don't know which needs outweigh others. There are so many variables as well. We have guys we spent high round picks on like Cisco and Little who have barely seen the field. Cisco looked excellent in preseason, but is being held back. Why? Can Little be a franchise LT or would he be better suited for the right side? Will Linder be cut, given his constant injury history or will he be kept around at his $10 million 2022 price tag? Which areas will be filled in free agency? Where will we be selecting in the draft and who will be on the board when we pick?

I've been a Jaguars fan since the very beginning and I can't remember a time where we have so many critical needs. Other than QB, RB, NT and Punter, this team is almost a complete teardown. Personally, I would go all in on free agency at 2 positions (OT and WR.) I go hard after Saints OT Terron Armstead and Packers WR Davante Adams. The Saints may let Armstead go due to the contract that he will command and the fact that they just signed Ryan Ramczyk to a big contract. If he is available via free agency or a sign and trade deal, I do it in a heartbeat, no matter the cost, because IMO, there is no OT in the next draft worth spending a first or possibly a second round selection on. Armstead would be the LT and I would have Little compete with Taylor for the RT spot. If Little develops, we'd have bookend Tackles for the first time in forever. If Armstead can't be had, I consider Duane Brown or Riley Reiff, but at a high, yet reasonable contract. If that is not possible, I trade for a LT using whatever draft picks it takes.

I also throw the brinks truck at WR Davante Adams. If Aaron Rodgers leaves Green Bay at the end of the season, which seems inevitable, Adams is gonna leave too. He'd be a perfect #1 WR. My backup plan would be signing Mike Williams of the Chargers. He's really taken a step forward this season and although he currently plays second fiddle to Keenan Allen, he looks like he could be a #1 guy.

As for the draft, it's a wait and see approach. It all depends on who is on the board. There is no position other than QB, RB, NT and Punter that I wouldn't consider. The key is to take the BAP and when you have so many needs, that should be an easy task. I see players I like at edge rusher, CB, Safety, WR, OG, Center and ILB that I would take in round 1. Personally, I would try and trade down to accumulate picks, but I really don't have enough faith in the current regime not to squander those picks if we did. I would hope that we'd have a new staff here, if we were picking high. Given who wishy-washy Khan is and how long of a leash he gives his front office people and coaches, I just expect more of the same old, same old for 2022.

I didn't realize Mike Williams will be a FA.  Injuries set him back early in his career but he is looking like a beast WR like I thought he would be and like he did at Clemson.  Mike Williams can definitely be a number 1 WR imo and would be a great get
