So because he was able to get rid of some dead weight for low draft picks that have a miniscule chance of becoming quality starters, he deserves extra credit?!?

Considering we are a 1-5 team with effectively a rookie class of one in terms of quality contribution, whatever credit Baalke deserves for those trades is more than offset by draft misses-understanding that it's possible the players in this rookie class may yet develop into quality players.

It would be more persuasive to give him credit for our free agent class (Griffin, Jenkins, Agnew).  Still, he has a long way to go before people will legitimately laud him for his GM work here.

From 2010-2016, I don't see a single quality receiver he brought in to the 49ers, though he did draft a few quality players.
