I am forced to watch Lamarr Houston quite a bit, and I believe he's more talented than Red Bryant and a huge upgrade over Alualu.
In Oakland they have him playing RE at 6' 3" and 305lbs, so yes he doesn't put up great sack numbers (around 5/year), but he's also playing out of position for a team that never plays with a lead. If we stuck him on the line as a 2 gapping LE and moved him inside as part of the Lightning Package, I believe he would flourish here. If anyone remembers or cares to go back and watch our week 2 game, Houston took it to Eugene Monroe pretty good. |
