Damn shame someone loses their life another person possibly loses their livelihood... And all the family members affected by the ripple effect of this thing.

There is, but players do not utilize it for a couple of possible, if illogical reasons.

1.  They don't trust their utilization of the service will be confidential, and many are fearful their use of the service will be used against them in contract negotiations.  Of course, accidents like this preclude many future negotiations.

2.  The players earn a lot of money and buy nice cars.  In their minds, what's the point in buying the nice cars if they can't drive them?  The absurdity of this mindset is self evident.

Hmmph
1. Then Uber, Lyft, or Taxi.
2. This should not even be a discussion. Drive your over priced mid life crisis car at 3pm sober, not 3am drunk.
If he/they really want to waste so much money, don't buy a [BLEEP] Vette, pay for a chauffeur.

Then his sentence should be triple the normal.

They have so many resources beyond their own money to use.

He doesn't deserve to see the light of day.

What'd Dante Stallworth get back in the day? Rich people get by. He'll serve a year get a year or two probation.
Only difference is the league is heavier handed so he may not play again the way Stallworth did

We'd be looking at closer to the 20 than the 2 for sure.
