I'm not gonna deny the prospect potential in Lawrence, it's way higher than the outlook on GM... But now that we have the NFL tape... It's kinda funny that Minshew is the clear cut better QB as a rookie.

And? I love Minshew but his ceiling unfortunately was low and defenses were able to begin effectively game planning against him. 

And the “we need to wait to evaluate rookie QBs” knife cuts both ways. RG3 had a great rookie year and look how that turned out. You have to give the QB time, and a right situation to evaluate, before making any final judgement calls.

Oh I agree, but you're falling into the same trap with Trevor, he gets every excuse known to man about talent, when Minshew arguably had less around him. We say we need time, Minshew never had an entire season as a starter... So yes, it SHOULD go both ways, yet it didn't for GM. I just find it funny he was far better and got tossed out like chopped liver, but we objectively downgraded(At least in the short term) and he gets the golden pass to suck even more than Minshew. Its just funny to me, I think Lawrence will end up better but just how things are portrayed vs reality is comical, is all.
