is that the HC's job? I put that more on the OCs and QB coach. He's had a variety of offensive schemes work based on the personnel on the roster, and will likely be able to bring or draw good coaches to his staff.

You could say the same thing about Coughlin? Everyone here thinks he walks on water, but a lot of that team was already built before he got there.

I think results have shown some head coaches, like Reid, manage to groom QBs into success, and some don't. I want a Reid, not a guy that acts tough in press conferences but who has never had a prospect show growth under him.

McDaniels is a great example of this, he's managed to win with guys like Cassell and Brissette, I've only seen Tomlinson win with a future Hall of famer that someone else groomed.
