We as a fan base should be careful about what we put out there associated with the franchise. It may seem cool to go all emotional and give in to the clown idea, but do we really want to see other fans donning clown costumes when our team plays away games going forward? Do we really want this look as an unofficial mascot to be used against us at every turn?
Look, I have a problem with Shad as well and think keeping Baalke is a terrible move. It seems like he is navigating a minefield with a personally imposed blindfold on. However, this stunt could have negative ramifications years into the future and clowns are creepy as crap anyway.
The Jags don't usually make national news unless it's bad and I, for one, wouldn't like to give our detractors any new ammo to load. I say we just bring out the bags, after all it is tradition right?
