Jack has 2 years left on his deal, and has $4.8m in unamortized signing bonus dollars, that were being amortized $2.4m each year.  With workout bonus, base salary, and amortized bonus, Jack's 2022 cap is $13.15m and 2023 cap is $13.9m.  If Jack is traded or released this offseason, his unamortized $4.8m remaining signing bonus would be fully accelerated into the 2022 cap figure, delivering a net 2022 cap savings of $8.35m ($13.15m less $4.8m), and a 2023 cap savings of $13.9m.

I would be tempted by a 3rd round selection for Jack, but would rather him play out his contract here if he would only deliver a 4th round selection.  Jack, IMO, is a quality NFL player, in which the Jags are in lack of on the roster.  I don't believe the Jags are in need of the cap savings.

Seriously, it would be the dumbest thing possible to start trading away good players for more draft picks, at a time when this team is starved for good players.  And a 3rd round pick for Myles Jack?  That's ridiculous.  

It's high time this team starts keeping its good players.  We tried tearing the team down to the studs and rebuilding from scratch under Dave Caldwell, and that was a disaster.
