Reeks of desperation, not due diligence.

That's what happens when our 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choice fall through.

Then he's either left with us, or a team that's going through a lawsuit, or a team in salary cap and talent hell, or another team that nobody wants because they have little talent and a QB with pending legal issues.

This is what happens when you do a thourough coaching search. 

Normally we rush them, and look where that's got us.
