But, since a large part of whether you define a quarterback as elite has to do with whether he won a Super Bowl, it's a kind of circular reasoning.
80% of elite quarterbacks have won Super Bowls but they became elite by winning a Super Bowl.
So of course 80% of elite quarterbacks have won Super Bowls. That's how they became recognized as elite.
