I'd rather debate why we kept lining up head coaching interviews for several weeks after a first interview if this guy was either first choice or a slam dunk hire.  Be thorough, sure, but at the risk of losing the candidate you think is head and shoulders above the rest?

Something smells fishy there, if you ask me.
