This is the most hilarious take I've seen posted on this board in a very long time. It's OBVIOUS that you didn't watch that game and only looked at the final score. Both Gardner and the Bearcats' other starting CB, Coby Bryant, completely shut down the Alabama passing offense. They grounded it. Alabama had two longer passes completed that entire game. One was given up by Cincinnati's 3rd CB and the other was given up by one of the Bearcat Safeties. Alabama had no luck at all throwing to receivers covered by Gardner and Bryant. Unfortunately for Cincinnati, the same could not be said for their run defense. Alabama's RB's ran up and down the field at will with little to no resistance and Cincinnati got nothing going on offense. 

I currently have CB "Sauce" Gardner as the #3 overall prospect and there is a very good chance he may move higher. He is the best cover corner I've seen in years and I believe he will be in the running for NFL Defensive ROY. If we trade out of the #1 spot and both edge rushers are gone, I target Gardner as my pick, without question. That kid is special. CB may not be a great need, but I don't care. I would draft the BAP.

As someone who lives just outside Cincinnati, this report is completely, 100% wrong. Gardner is a very good and willing tackler. They just did a breakdown of him on one of the ESPN shows and they even pointed out how good he is at tackling.
