So... if they draft a tackle I'll be dumbfounded.

I can't remember who it was, but I remember a guy on the board who insisted the game has changed to a degree that there isn't much difference between the left and right tackle positions any longer.  I would debate him up and down on that point.  But if the pick is Ekwonu or Neal, his argument would have proven at least partially right.

I would applaud Ekwonu or Neal at #1, even with Cam Robinson's new deal.  We'd have talent, versatility and depth along the OL for days.

Where to play Ekwonu or Neal would be  good problem to have.

Which starting OL would you like best?

From LT to RT

1.  Cam, Little, Shatley, Scherff, Ekwonu/Neal
2.  Ekwonu/Neal, Little, Shatley, Scherff, Cam
3.  Cam, Ekwonu/Neal, Shatley, Scherff, Little
4.  Ekwonu/Neal, Cam, Shatley, Scherff, Little

Compare any of those lineups to last year's group

Cam, Norwell, Linder, Bartch/Cann, Taylor.

Just with those four options, minimally, it would appear we'd have upgraded 3 positions from last year:  RT, RG, and LG.

Who knows what rookie C we could possibly add to that to make it even better?

Maybe Taylor finds his niche at G, and he is nowhere near the liability he's been at RT.

If we hit on a Ekwonu/Neal pick, Rausher is a good OL coach, it's not out of the question we could end up with the best OL in the division.

We'd have at least three guys who could play LT, maybe 4 guys who could play RT if Taylor is kept.

Line up three would probably be the most ideal if I had no other choice. I will be disappointed though if they go this route tonight. I think Pederson's system is all about the RPO, quick reads, getting the football in and out of your hands as quickly as possible. 90% of the time Lawrence should already know where he's going with that football before he takes the snap in this system.

I just don't think you have to take a lineman tonight to solidify anything on that front. Praying for an unlikely trade down at this point. I just feel like you can get an upgrade at RT, where the majority of the concern is coming from on this board, between Diesch, Goedeke or Vrabel on potentially day 3 of the draft while being able to upgrade your front seven to potentially compliment Josh Allen coming up on a big year.

He has t-rex arms for his size. He has ZERO, and I mean ZERO, bend - he plays upright and stiff. He looks awkward. It's honestly off-putting watching him play with how badly he moves his body.

He has a great motor - no doubt. But that means nothing in the NFL when the tackle destroys you immediately.

Hutch is going to be a 5 sack a year guy and only because of coverage.

I really don't understand the arm size argument.

Notable edge rushers with under 33" arm length
Jared Allen
Melvin Ingram
Carl Lawson
Trey Hendrickson
Markus Golden
Yannick Ngakoue
Everson Griffen
Zadarius Smith
Bud Dupree
Harold Landry
Dee Ford

Khalil Mack is 33 1/4
TJ Watt is 33 1/8
Chase Young is 33 3/4

Knock on his style, but it's just weird to me seeing the arms argument.

A lot of size queens on here. Unfortunately.
