19 Countries with the Most School Shootings (total incidents Jan 2009-May 2018 - CNN):

United States — 288
Mexico — 8
South Africa — 6
India — 5
Nigeria & Pakistan — 4
Afghanistan — 3
Brazil, Canada, France — 2
Azerbaijan, China, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Kenya, Russia, & Turkey — 1

It's a problem in the US, certainly, but those numbers are also skewed by our size. We live in a free society with 350 million people, and we also have a mental health problem. It's going to happen. When you account for variables and adjust per capita, we have mass attacks at a rate similar to other countries. There are some European countries that do a better job than us in this area, but they also focus heavily on mental health disorders. We are definitely in a downward spiral, and too many people are starting with the solution.
