Gordon kept applying for reinstatement, Blackmon didn't. He wasn't perma banned, he just didn't care enough/want to play football anymore.

A true shame because he could have/would have been so good.

Blackmon at least had the good sense to not try multiple comebacks. He either didn't care about football, or knew he would regress and fail again and didn't want the public hassle/humiliation. Football fans in general (not Jags fans) will remember Gordon's failures more than Blackmon's.
