The picture of the homeless man in the article is white. So now the phrase 'black eye' is racist? How will people who have black eyes describe themselves on the paperwork at the DMV and the optometrist? 'Not white'? 'Opposite of white?'.

Do we rename the Black Eyed Peas? Maybe the B-Eyed Peas, ala Lady A.
