What a stupid response.  If my kid or my spouse went to a foreign country with an illegal substance in their possession, knowing it was illegal, then they brought that upon themselves.  Would I fret about them? Absolutely, but they brought that upon themselves.  It’s called taking responsibility for your actions.

You're going to try tell me that if your loved one was jailed in Russia for an 11 year term on what you knew was a trumped up charge, you'd be ok with it? Naah, I ain't buying what you're selling.
