Here are the current federal cigarette and tobacco tax rates:
Cigarettes: $1.01 / 20-pack Tax by State As you can see, it's the Feds and the States raking in the $$$$$. SO, if both the feds and the States are making the most off this commodity, and they know it causes cancer among other things, shouldn't the tax dollars go towards taking care of the people that PAID the tax in the first place?????
