The Current Danger of Hateful Rhetoric and Domestic Terrorism

To my knowledge the only ones arrested for "saying something" were those who were members of domestic terror groups whose communications reveled plots to enact heinous crimes.

Could charges be brought against Epps for saying things to other rioters that day?
I'm no expert on what the charges would be or how prosecutable that is, but it is conceivable.
However, if they are indeed going down that road, they'll have to also change Trump's son, 2 of his advisors , half a dozen DC Republican lawmakers, and hundreds more Jan 6 rioters who also said things that day directing protestors to act violently. Remember - hundred of rioters were chanting "hang Mike Pence"  as they marched on, and in, the Capitol. I'd include Trump himself in that list, but he wisely contradicted himself after encouraging less than peaceful action in his speech that day.

Another thing you definitely should consider is that if Epps were a Fed meant to incite criminal behavior - they'd have had him continue to do so inside the Capitol where he could be even more effective. Furthermore, the standard procedure with such UC agents is to arrest them alongside the real criminals to further conceal their identity.

I'm open to being convinced of operatives inciting violence if you can find proof, but I've seen no one produce anything remotely convincing as of yet.

Epps appears to merely be another MAGA insurrectionist - who simply just didn't have enough sack to cary out the deeds he verbalized with his own two hands.

I don't believe that at all, man. I think it's just your typical psyops, which is a very real thing. I mean, anyone who knows any history at all should know that the US government has been expanding its psyops since WWII. We have 2 divisions in the military dedicated to psyops. You really believe it starts and stops on the foreign stage? The war on terror changed all that, man.

Here's the recruiting video the army made (and a link from Army Times talking about it):

I mean, the sheer obliviousness you guys have with regards to the power of the Federal government is astounding. You guys are far too quick to believe it's operating in good faith when there is zero reason to do so. There's almost no accountability. They are funded by massively powerful corporate interests and covered by a media that is funded by the same people. There's just a bunch of rich, powerful people who hide behind our government to make them more money and give them more power. I am seriously dumbfounded that I have to have this argument with liberals, of all people.

See my response a few above here to JIB for my take on that.

I also don't know that he's being "defended." He just hasn't been prosecuted, and folks are not accepting of the assertion that he was planted to incite criminal behavior. That is not "defending" him, it's just denying the validity of a conspiracy theory.

But the lack of prosecution IS evidence of something, right? It's not nothing. I'm just asking you guys to read between the lines.
None of the bolded has anything to do with proving that Epps or any other supposed plants had involvement with inciting Jan 6 rioters. You are still just assuming that happened with no proof or compelling argument.

The lack of prosecution could absolutely be nothing. Like I said - lots of folks who weren't arrested said things that day to incite violence.
