So, in actuality, the mental status exam is not "missing" as the OP suggested.  It's not "missing," because no president ever has one.  

The reason I asked about Trump was because he was the previous president.  and I wanted to know, is a mental status exam a normal thing for a president.

And as for your question, I can't speak for "those on the left," because I'm not on the left.

It should be if there is an obvious diminished mental capacity and Biden has definitely shown as much.
