Obviously they can work position group numbers to massage spots for these guys and preseason minor injuries could allow them to stash a couple depth players on short term IR, but the fact that Quarterman is still ahead of Miller may be a mild concern. Lacey having four guys ahead of him is also a bit of a red flag IMO. You'd like to see him leapfrog Ledbetter.

Jordan Smith must really suck. They have Abdullah ahead of him and Abdullah has reportedly shown very little promise thus far vs NFL linemen. The coaches must simply see more than the talking heads do, and I hope they are right.

Of all of those late round wing-and-a-prayer defensive backs, it would appear Braswell has the toughest row to hoe if he's going to make the team. Hallet and Antonio Johnson are not exactly in the safest place either - but at least they are getting praise from coaches and camp reporters.

Miller and Shaq are the same guy, so it makes sense that the rookie is behind. Once they get to cuts we'll see Quarterman's salary get released and we'll have pretty much the same back up guy in the same back up position again this year as last. Same with Daniel Thomas, Chris Claybrooks, Tre Herndon and the rookies behind them. This is a "replace the expensive back ups" draft class.

Bingo. This is the back half of your roster getting cheaper in preparation for fat contracts due out here shortly in 2024 and beyond. Have to figure out what's going to happen with Josh Allen, Tyson Campbell, Calvin Ridley, Walker Little, Andre Cisco, etc.

Cam Robinson's contract should also fall off the books finally. I doubt Scherff will be here in 2024 as well.
