Here's the sticky bit - I agree that Cooks is probably too good to stash away on a PS, and there's no chance we keep 7 WR. So we're left to look at one more WR - Agnew. Has Washington shown enough to say that we can rely on him in the return game? Does Agnew bring enough as a receiver to justify his spot? It would be an eyebrow-raising move to keep two rooks and send Agnew away, but I can't say I wouldn't be opposed if they went in this direction.

Is the difference between Harris and Cooks small enough that if one is claimed and the other sticks to PS, you feel secure leaving them there? Personally I think Cooks has more promise.

Gonna be an interesting week or so.

Cut deadline is tomorrow at 4PM - and Jags will not be very active on waiver stuff due to 24th position. 

I think most of the interesting stuff in coming in the next 30 hours.

I see that after posting. Sucks because everyone who gets cut gonna end up missing out on that labor day holiday.

The only way I can think to try to "hide/stash" someone on a practice squad is to limit or not play a certain young player in the preseason games, thereby limiting his tape/exposure to other teams.  On a sports radio station when I was on business in Dallas, they indicated that each week a team may protect up to 4 practice squad players, from Tuesday through gameday.  However, basically on Monday, even those practice squad players are exposed to pickup by another team.  I don't know if this is correct or just radio speculation on the rules.

If you want to stash a player away, you get the team physician to diagnose them with turf allergy and put them on IR. Usually the condition goes away within about 7-10 months.
