That cop did his job by protecting OUR elected officials from a violent rabble of rioters and domestic terrorists. 

They let them advance as far they could without lethal force until there was only one line left to breach. 
And they had no choice but to do this because of the sheer numbers of rioters vs officers. 

Also - tons of misdemeanors without felonies were charged after that day. 
I'm surprised they bothered with Epps at all, I only posted it because of all of the idiotic conspiracies ppl tried to cook up around that clown in this forum. You have to look at each case individually.

I think the thing most "not right" here is your complete blindness to the reality of what happened.

Assuming this to be true AND that it occurred before the shot was taken, how do we know the shooting officer had that information at the crucial moment?  

How could anyone know her thoughts?  There were a few leaders present, but most of the people there were just idiots following the crowd.  

Doesn't it seem odd to you that only one officer felt the use of deadly force was justified?

Once he did that - the mob stopped attempting to breech the final perimeter of safety. It literally only took the one shot. If other officers had opened fire at the security points prior it would have been a bloodbath. This was the most efficient use of force possible and it could have been avoided if the trespasser had simply complied with police instruction.

The rioters had passed through several security points long before arriving at the entrance to the lobby of the House Chamber where lawmakers were huddled in fear. These few officers were the only ones left between a mob and lawmakers they were ordered to protect. 

Babbit's thoughts at the time don't matter. She was instructed by police not to continue attempting to breach, but she did anyway and they shot her to protect our elected officials.
