I mean when one lines up on 1st down and does the same run play over and over again, eventually it becomes predictable... Just sayin'... ETN, from September to October, behind this terrible O-Line was a top 5 rushing RB. But eventually batters start to key on the fastball... In other words, the defense begins to realize that the 1st down play call is a running play up the gut. And then the other play calls normally less than 10 yards out. So everyone just sits on all the routes and hunkers down on the Line in case there is a run. Just watching the Jaguars this year is so obvious. It just is. There are teams with O-Lines as bad as ours. And yet they still look dynamic. We look static for at least 2 quarters a game. It's just not the same offense from last year. The O-Line isn't to blame for the predictability. The lack of OC imagination is the reason for that. |
