To show my own bias, you could also look at this as "Was able to take 3-13 team into the divisional game as a rookie."  OR "Stroud also became the third player in league history to lead the league in passing yards per game (273.9) and touchdown/interception ratio (4.6) in the same season, joining Tom Brady in 2007 and Joe Montana in 1989."

Like I said, he's a good QB. I knew it the first game I saw him play in the NFL. Go back and look at my old posts.

However, he's by no means looking like Brady or Montana at this point, and if he didn't have such luck with dropped picks he likely wouldn't have had that stat, anyway.

Is not that I don't think Stroud is good, because I do. He has a great ability to deal with pressure and keep his eyes down the field, and that's important for a QB. I just don't see him as a guy that should be getting called an MVP favorite like I've seen from some talking heads.

For what it's worth I think the texans have a better overall roster than the Jags and much better personnel people, so I expect the texans to win the division for the foreseeable future if Trevor doesn't play like a transcendent QB.

Trevor and Doug's ability to get wins with middling surrounding talent have made Khan complacent. Baalke should have been gone when Doug got hired, he's terrible in the draft.
