They can run block just not very good.  Teams that can run block can line up with heavy personnel, goaline or whatever and ram it right down the defenders throat even when they know it's a run coming and they just can't stop it. 

 We haven't been able to do that for years and most teams in the league can do that when they need 1 yard.  When we do it we lose 2.  We have to keep the defense guessing for this offense to be successful.  We aren't able to impose our will on the opponent like good teams do.

That's because we're not built to be that way. It's a zone blocking run scheme and they're a west coast offense at best. This is why I continue to kick the coaching staff down. They need to stop roleplaying as the Washington Redskins of the 1980's and play lilke they're built to play. Quickly. Up tempo. In and out concepts in the passing game with a few rollouts designed to buy time for deep passing plays. 

Go look at the Dan Orlovsky breakdown that Cleatwood shared last week. I added it to the Buffalo game thread. It's deserving of reposting, because, again, if the coaches maybe made a smart decision in not asking a WR to block a DE there? In addition to Lawrence selling a half [BLEEP] hand off to Etienne? They had Strange wide open on the opposite side of the field for a massive play, potentially a TD there. 

All they needed was an actual blocker capable of holding it down against a DE there. A 6th offensive lineman like Tugboat or Little there maybe, or, an actual TE like Luke Farrell instead of a WR being tasked to do something he has no business doing to begin with. That's 1,000% piss poor coaching on Doug and Press. 1,000%. There's no [BLEEP] excuses for that dog [BLEEP] decision making out there.
