The overhead bins fill up quickly and it’s amazing how much is packed into them. Miniaturized steamer trunks. Back when I traveled routinely for work, I could see it becoming more of an issue. Deplaning in Los Angeles on a flight back from Korea, an older Korean woman ordered me to fetch her bag from the overhead bin. It was carry-on size but weighed as much as an anvil. On a wide body jet, there has to be a literal ton of baggage in the overhead. |
