As I just posted, there's a way we could not unrealistically end up with 6-7 wins. You fear that could be a 'we just started to figure things out' argument but it would be hollow to me.

I never want to see us tank, don't like watching us hoping we lose but I'd like to see the effort in the 2nd half for the rest of the season at least. Effort is one thing we can control.

It would be hollow to you, and us fans. But Shad? Idk. And that’s where the fear comes in.

I posed this question before, but if you fire Doug and put someone like McCoy in his place and he has success down the stretch which is entirely possible, are you ok with him being a serious candidate for the job moving forward?  It would be difficult for any owner to fire an interim coach at the end of the season that goes 5-1 or 6-0 over the stretch where they are the head coach.  I don't think most would be all that happy with McCoy, but maybe that sentiment changes if he indeed gets the opportunity and does go 5-1 or 6-0.
