We're not going to win out or go 7-1 or 6-2. Just not going to happen, especially with all of the injuries. Much more likely that we end up winning 2 more games and finish 4-13, drafting right around the 5-8 spot or so.
But for the sake of argument, say the team gets on fire - would I keep Pedersen and Baalke another season? Absolutely not. The body of evidence is there to evaluate this coaching staff and front office and know they aren't going to get you into a deep playoff run and win consistently. Players are not progressing and the roster lacks talent. Baalke lucked into BTJ. If he truly knew he was going to be as good as he's been so far this year, he would have never traded back with the Vikings. The 2024 free agent class has been awful. |
