Worst 2 I can even think of were Josh Allen's first season when everything around that was subpar, and last season's Mahomes but he still had a HoF coach, HoF TE, up coming WR, and a Top 5 defense.
I think Allen should win the MVP this year just because of what he has done with that offensive roster.  He lost his top 2 WRs and is playing at an ALL Pro level. Some here thinks Gabe Davis is horrendous and he Allen made him look like a damn good WR 2.  Jackson and Mahomes have always been loaded with talent around them.

I would agree that Allen is probably the MVP since Barkley and Penei Sewell are not eligible, but the Bill's OL, their running scheme, their player development, HC/FO culture, and their offensive coordinator are better than most other teams in the NFL this year.

My main point was that even the consensus elite QB's need help. Because of the media narrative, we give too much of the blame/credit to the QB instead of team, roster, scheme, etc. I understand why people do it. But when we are talking nitty gritty and breaking stuff down as much as many do on forums like this, I believe we all know better.
