That was 100% Khan telling that team and staff - no excuses - he expects wins, he expects them now and there will be consequences. We've just seen a super bowl winning coach pay the consequence. 

Anyway - since Khan has been here - there has probably only been one roster on the talent level of this one and/or better. (sadly)So he wasn't that inaccurate in the comments despite their real intent. 
The primary foresight Khan lacked when making those comments was how bad the free agents would turn out and how miserably Nielsen would fail at getting production from his lot. But he was challenging all of them. 

I don't have an issue with his podium comments meant to challenge a staff and team. 
"no excuse not to win now" is a strong message in that moment IMO

Regarding Baalke:
If Khan is committed to him - we'll see his contract renewed when the HC signs. 
If that doesn't happen, we'll know for sure the thread is unraveling. 
The fact he's not being renewed now already makes a statement of its own. 
The fact Khan left him twisting in the wind when 3 different reporters asked about his contract status also should speak volumes.

Hopefully Khan consults someone to give him your information, because if there ever is a person to go in the public media to go defend Khan, you're definitely the #1 pick lol. I just don't get it, considering the body of work, but keep defending the guy I guess.

I don't think Khan was off base if he was only talking about his tenure as Jags owner.   On paper, this should have been a playoff team.   I think the main problem was the coaching on defense, which was supposed to be an upgrade, instead was a disaster.  That plus a slew of injuries on offense.  And the free agents we signed did not perform as expected.  But I don't think Khan was wrong to say that, in preseason, on paper, it was the best team he's ever had while he's been here.
