Mettenberger Flying to Jax Thursday
|
Quote:I've said before but I remember being at the spring game where Murray and Mettenberger were battling it out to win the starting job. And Mettenberger was head and shoulders the better player. But then he went and pulled a Roethlisberger while hanging out in Valdosta. Would have been interesting to see how their careers played out if Mettenberger hadnt make that mistake. Would he have spent 4 years as a starting QB under Richt, put up a bunch of numbers, and be flirting with a first round pick? Would he have gotten injured at some point allowing Murray to spell him as the backup potentially creating a QB controversy? Or would Murray have gotten fed up and transfered... maybe back home and become the USF starting QB. Yes. Thank you.
