I haven’t written him off but I do find it funny the defenses for strouds slump are hand waived by some for TL

The texans won because of a good team effort (especially on defense) but CJ was along for the ride, yesterday, not pulling the cart.

Hehe, like I said it wasn't his best game and there is no doubt that the defense kept them in the game.  But the fact that he turned a terrible snap into a 34 yard gain (on 3rd and 16) is the play that turned the Houston offense around.  The offense put 10 points up at the end of the half (including a 24 second FG) and they never relinquished the lead.  He also had to deal with an early fumble by Metchie, and a fumble by Mixon in the red zone (that took a score off the board.)

But it was a full team win like you said (special teams should really get noticed: 1 blocked punt and 1 blocked extra point that turned into 2 points to keep momentum on their side.)  Mixon also dominated the game in the 2nd half, running for 106yds and a 99 yard TD drive that absolutely sealed the game.

I give stroud credit for hanging in there yesterday. He had an awful start. But he will have to be better to beat the Ratbird/bills/Kansas indigenous persons football team on the road
