Woah, how the once mighty have fallen.  He was the best thing since sliced bread a year ago.  I guess maybe there was something to the luck Stroud experienced his rookie year chucking up 50/50 balls that were more often than not caught and then that didn't happen this year quite as much.  I know it's more complicated than that, but there was definitely some of that going on the year prior.

LOL, Stroud sure was lucky for 19 games in the 2023 season.  So lucky he put up multiple NFL records...  The truth is that Stroud seemed to be addicted to the deep ball in 2024, despite the fact that his OL couldn't provide him protection to make the deep field reads.  Slowik didn't/couldn't put his foot down to make Stroud change his read order, resulting in Stroud holding the ball way to long.  I consider a third of those sacks were on Stroud himself.  In addition, Slowik couldn't solve the OL problem throughout the year.

Don't forget that the "slump" is a temporary/one-year thing.  If it wasn't it would be called a bust.  I'm excited to see what the new OC can do with Stroud in his 3rd year.  I still have tons of faith that Stroud is the guy, he has that "IT" factor, and he went 9-8 with a first place schedule, so the team as a whole was better in 2024.  If the offense can come back the Texans will be a legitimate threat in the AFC, because the Texans defense is already playing championship ball in their 2nd year under Demeco.

Can we leave the personal insults behind for a while and get back to some semblance of topic, gents?
Please, and thank you.
