Dude, North Carolina is under a burn ban by the U.S. Forestry Service to include all permits cancelled. Some nutsack was burning in our neighborhood last night. 

Between very little rain, very low dew point and humidity numbers, and gusty winds we are a tinderbox. It doesn't take much to set the fallen pine straw on fire and spread like, well, wildfire. 

Also, I must complain about the insane amount of pollen we have flying around. You see what you think is fog or smoke in the air but thanks to gusty winds it's yellow clouds of pollen exploding out of the pine trees of which we have an absurd number. You walk outside and it gets in your mouth, your hair, you clothes, your eyes, etc., and the allergy meds are barely giving relief. 

I keep telling myself pollen is why we have chocolate and coffee so it's worth it.
