Some lead, some follow. Some grovel and take what they can get. Others may fight to make things better...for themselves and their co workers, and ultimately their families. All their families. And when one family suffers, they all chip in, and not think, welp, not MY problem.

As for you privilege to work, its also a privilege and not a right for a company to have good workers. You have to earn those. In the end, when and if something happens to those like you on the job and theres no one to turn to, you can just look in the mirror, because goober smooching will only carry you so far.

We can discuss the economy as you mention, and why it is the way it is, but it may be a little too complex.

 

It's not about keeping your nose up the bosses rear end, it's about keeping your head down and doing your job that you're privileged to have.

 

A good co-worker walks off the job with you because of your pride? Well, I hope that co-worker gives you money to pay your bills, because you cant pay your bills and put food on the table with pride..

 

Yup.. ZERO sympathy.. I'm damn near 40 years old.. I've been there and done that.. I've walked off a job before because of my pride, apparently, you haven't.. It sucks because it does nothing but put you in a bind to find another job ASAP or you and your family "go without".. And I'm sorry, I'll NEVER put my family in that situation.. 

 

So when your electric gets shut off, and there's no food on the table for you and your family to eat, tell them about your pride, I'm sure that will fill a lot of tummies..
