Manziel is my number one no-way prospect this year, at least not in the first two rounds. He's a great athlete, yes, but QBs like him tend to break down and lose all their mobility, which takes away a key element of their game and leaves them merely average to above-average, much like Brunell. Also, there's the whole thing about him absolutely crumbling under the pressure at Texas A&M--pressure that isn't anything close to what he'll feel as an NFL starter. I don't feel like entrusting the most important position on the team to a guy whose ego is so big that he barely fits into his helmet, and who is, imo, as likely as anyone to break down and quit three years in.

 

I'm not thrilled with Murray or Fales, either. I wouldn't mind Logan Thomas, but I would mind him as a QB.

 

I really like Bridgewater, Bortles and Mettenberger. I think that A.J. McCarron could develop into something in time, and I think that the athleticism of Brett Smith and Connor Shaw might be worth something late. Another guy whose athleticism intrigues me is DeNarius McGhee of Montana State. I don't think of him as a QB prospect, though, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he ended up being a late-round pick of a team that wants to move him to running back. Everyone else is really just kind of meh.
