If Clowney actually had impeccable character and impeccable work ethic to go with the freakish athleticism that he has, combined with the Jags being seen as "one defensive player away...." then I'd at least understand the Jags making a move like that, but given what we've seen in that area this past year, the Jags would be fools to trade away a 2nd rounder in a deep draft to move up 2 spots - when they need more picks, not less.

Your speculating the draft is deep, we have no idea how deep it actually was until 4-5 years from now when these guys are going for they're next contract.


All I am saying is if the team really feels he is that type of player and they only have to give up a 2nd pick then that is a good trade. Also what are you basing the poor work ethic on? Rumors? I have yet to see any analyst show where he shows a lack of work ethic or character on film. I have seen him gassed at times....but poor work ethic no.


I just watch Grudens QB camp. Bortles even said Clowney was their primary focus of their plan against SC, and they wanted to have 2 guys assigned to him every single play and sometimes even three....
