If Clowney is believed to be an HOF player by our FO, then the impact he will make on this team with be far greater than the 2 players we will supposedly miss out on. 

 

Also, some of you guys are acting like I am saying trade away our whole draft. We we only be losing one pick this year in either scenario......I don't think (1) 2nd round pick is going to set us back us back from continuing to build our roster through the draft. Heck losing out in 2 players over the next 2 years wont set us back either. Its only 2 picks out of the 18 we have at our disposal over that time frame. We would still have 16 picks over the next 2 years.....

 

I don't agree that Second and Third Rounders are typically two to three year career length players. There are tons of examples of players taken in the Second and Third rounds from this team alone that have put together long and productive careers. Would you give up Daryl Smith to have Clowney? I'm not so sure that I would.
