Exactly.  If he comes back clean, and ready to move forward, the team would be better served to keep him.  If they don't trust that he's clean, or they think he'll fall off the wagon, then it's time to move on.  That's a call they'll make when the time comes.  Doesn't sound like that will happen this year.

 

The way this program is structured is really stupid.  This kid needs to be in a program, supported by the team and the league.  Leaving him to his own devices is not going to produce the desired results.
