If you think rookie WRs are sure things, you're not familiar with the alarming attrition rates of drafted WRs  who make it in the NFL.      You would think a fan who's watched Matt Jones, Reggie Williams, RJ Soward and Justin Blackmon firsthand would be well aware of that.     

 

Ummm, I think I know about that. I've been watching football for 30 years. 

 

I think it speaks more to how high I am on the WR we got. 

 

I was never all that high on the Matt Joneses/ Reggie Williams' of the world. Yeah, if we had THAT group coming in as draft picks, then I'd be more apt to keep a guy like Shorts at all costs. 

 

I also think people forget we added Tandon Doss, and I do not think he was merely signed as a return guy. He was starting to show flashes the past year. He's only 24 as well. I am confident Sullivan could get Cecil SHorts' level production (going forward) from Doss.
