I was reading an article saying how most contries who fight to get these events are generaly new to the super power spot light and countries who have recent,y hosted events have withdrwn from any further events because of this. It's why many countries now wont even put in to get an Olympics. They have to build the athletes village so people can live in it for a few weeks, and then move on with no use for it. Countries put millions into the events with arenas, stadiums, etc...with not enough return after the Olympics are over. |
