His current suspension may carry well into, if not the whole season, but its not going to be any "new" suspension lopped on top of what he's already serving for his current infraction.  
 

Semantics, really. I don't know if the NFL will call it a "new" suspension, but you're correct in the sense that it will entail more games missed. I suspect for the entire 2014 season - if Blackmon asks for reinstatement for the 2014 season. He may be in no shape to do so. And I don't mean playing shape.

 

I just find those "he'll be back in mid-season, I just know it" posts extreme examples of whistling past the graveyard.
